So!.!.!.!.I started watching the dubbed Elfen Lied and uh, well honestly the first episode is one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen (how many times is blood going to gush and heads pop off!?!?)

The gruesomeness will only get more frequent as the series progresses!. There are some bloodless periods in the middle, where it is mainly talk and emotion, but since the story centers around people who use their invisible hands to chop limbs off, etc, if you don't like gory anime you should stop watching!. Later, the killings take on a more emotional prominence rather than meaningless violence!. Overall, the storyline is quite gripping and emotional so to me it is worth watching!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
Yes, it's got a very good story line and is definitely worth watching!. It's only about the first 7 minutes of it that are so gruesome, after that it slows down a lot!.

DESCRIPTION OF ELFEN LIED
The Diclonius, a mutated homo sapien that is said to be selected by God and will eventually become the destruction of mankind, possesses two horns in their heads, and has a "sixth sense" which gives it telekinetic abilities!. Due to this dangerous power, they have been captured and isolated in laboratories by the government!. Lucy, a young and psychotic Diclonius, manages to break free of her confines and brutally murder most of the guards in the laboratory, only to get shot in the head as she makes her escape!. She survives and manages to drift along to a beach, where two teenagers named Kouta and Yuka discovers her!. Having lost her memories, she was named after the only thing that she can now say, "Nyuu," and the two allow her to stay at Kouta's home!. However, it appears that the evil "Lucy" is not dead just yet!.!.!.

That was a description of Elfen Lied and thats what it was about!. It is a really good anime in my opinion if you do not mind nudity and violence!. And yes there is a lot of violence/nudity [more violence it my opinion] in the anime!. But there is some sorta of romance!.
The nudity stuff, i have no idea!. But it is not being represented in a prostitute way if thats what you are asking!. I think there is some kind of scared thing about it or something, i have no idea!.
The first time my friend showed me this anime, i thought she was crazy for watching it!. but she told me to stick with it and it turned out to be really good!. Much more amazing than i thought!. You may think the same!. But really the violence is just going to go through the entire series till the end, but i thought it was worth watching!. i say you should just keep watching for the next couple of episodes, at least halfway through!. if you come up that you dont like it, then you can just stop!. anyways, happy anime!
