Question: Why Do People Prefer Anime/Manga Over Comics!?!?!?!?!?
I, for one, find comics much cooler and more original than most of the anime stuff!. I am not an "anime hater!." Because I am a fan of Death Note and Bleach!. But I would much rather read about Deadpool owning other mercs with guns or a good old brutal Spawn and Violator fight!. Many of the anime fans claim that comics aren't as cool and are cheesy!. They aren't cheesy!. They are original and the villains are much better!. Anyone can come up with a guy with long grey hair named Sephiroth, but it takes imagination for someone to create someone like Joker!. Not trying to start some sort of Comics vs Anime war, just stating my opinion, so lets hear yours!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Soccer speed demon - I too prefer American comics, but am still a fan of certain mangas and animes!. Having seen a few questions similar to this, I already know without reading through the responses that many of them will be from people who have never read or even heard of a decent American comic, and just assume they are all superheroes!.

You're speaking in ignorant generalizations!. Both Western and Eastern comics are capable of being cartoony and more serious, in art and story!.

But if you judged manga by the most popular titles, again, you'd be looking at things like Dragonball, Naruto, Inuyasha, YuGiOh, etc!.

I agree with you!. I like both comics and manga/anime!. They're both original, since comics are from their creators in America or else where and anime/manga from Japanese creators and others from else where!. I love the Joker after reading some comcis and seeing his epic fame in the Dark Knight, played by Heath Ledger!. I love art, so I find everything unique and interesting!. I love action/adventure, so I end up liking both manga and comics!. There shouldn't be war, like dubb vs!. subb!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
the reason why people probably prefer anime/manga over comics is that lots of people find that manga is more interesting than comics!. Not saying that comics are bad or anything!. Manga is a lot different from comics!. Comics are original but it can be a bit dull sometimes while manga is in-depth and its not repetitive like some comics!. hmm!.lets see!.!.i agree with wat u say!.i got say both japaneses and american are the best!.i mean they both have allot of imagination!.japan mostly concentrated on the plots of the story sometimes they have great characters!!usa has really good characters they also have really good plots!.but in usa the comics and the animation are god cause they dint have allot of talking and to much emotion like japanese!.its really hard to choose!.but anyway lets stick with the question!.probably there is more fans that watch manga and anime cause its the most populated and people stick with it!.idk not sure!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I have to agree 100%!. I've yet to figure out why so many are into Anime/Manga!. Seems to be the much younger crowd!. Granted, there has been some really good Anime, like Akira, Ghost in the Shell, etc!., but they are the classic Sci-Fi stuff, and not this current crop of crap!. Frankly, I don't know!. I think it's there is something in human genetics that makes them attacted to either anime or comics or niether, and it's really not an argueement of "which one is cooler" (though i side with anime because that's just how I was made) Www@Enter-QA@Com

I think that the folks that prefer Anime just like the Japanese style of drawing!. It's very unique and most people who read or watch Anime/Manga are probably more interested in the artwork itself!. The story lines are interesting as well and in Japan, it's a cultural thing I think!. It's a very strong influence there and so alot of thought and effort goes into it!. I find that in Anime/Manga, they touch on various actual true to life subjects from molestation, to loss of parents, homelessness, things that our cartoons and comics tend to stay away from when portraying it in a serious light!. This is probably because our comics and cartoons are geared towards a younger audience for the most part!. I do like Comics but I speak as one who prefers Anime/Manga!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I do agree with you about The Joker though, but using the same villian every decade is pretty boring, I am not sure if that is how DC is but for Marvel I think it is, like a new decade there is a different story with the same people which is boring, unlike in Manga, once the story ends it ends!.
