Uub is indeed a Buu reincarnation, that's why he can merge with Buu so they can be one again order to beat Beby Vegeta!. I think Goku train him because he realized Gohan didn't really loves to fight, so he must find another predecessor to protect us in the future!. On the first episode of GT it's showed they're training in Kami place!.
I've heard a different theory about where Goku goes on the last episode of GT!. Goku sacrificed his life for about 50 or 100 years (don't remember how long) to restore Earth back to normal since Shen Long own power wasn't strong enough to make all things normal!.
There's special episode of Dragon Ball GT which I consider the last episode of Dragon Ball series!. This episode was mainly about Goku Jr try to find a Dragon Ball to cure his Grandma, Pan!. I find this episode very interesting in some part since it brings back a lot of memory to see Goku's place, the one he lived with his grandpa still exist!. Goku Jr found fourth star Dragon Ball on the same place it's showed to us on the first episode of Dragon Ball series!. I was touched by the scene where Goku Jr trying to make a wish to Dragon Ball without knowing he has to gather all seven Dragon Ball to grant a wish!. He throw the dragon ball away because he felt cheated because nothing ever happened!. It gave me a goosebumps when suddenly Goku appeared and take the fourth star Dragon Ball on the ground and explained the whole things to Goku Jr before finally disappeared!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
