Why do people enjoy anime?!
Question: Why do people enjoy anime!?
I'm not being a wise guy, I really am curious as to what the appeal is!. I have a friend who is knee deep in anime books, even daydreams about anime girls, and I think it's strange!. He can't seem to explain what his obsession over it is!. So, why are you into it!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

There is no other genre that is able to blend and excite a concept quite the way anime can!. Anime is the only genre where you'll see western American, futuristic sci-fi, and Japanese mixed together and not seem ridiculous in the eyes of the viewers!. Anime is also able to tell a story set in eras and cultures, whether it be feudal Europe, Japan, or completely fictional settings, and let us not forget we're not watching a documentary!.
The characters are a great reason as well!. Characters in anime epitomize what the character is representing in a way most real actors can't!. Let's not forget the moe factor!.!.!. Certain anime characters are even what some might consider "the girl of my dreams"!. It's that powerful!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The reason people enjoy anime because it something different then a regular cartoon!. With anime you get to see the character in different expression!. In anime stories progress, characters grow, develop, die, go evil or insane!. Kinda like in real life!. Except they are more detail about the event that happen during the show!. also the age group play a big role in people watching anime!. Anime creates a fantasized world for young people, so they can escape their school pressure or homework's!. But adult watching anime is like they are still children and can not adjust to the fact of being a grown up!. also anime can help in life because it can be complete nonsense or something that can tell you lessons while giving you a good story!. ok, the appeal is generally comedy, nudity, or action!. i like it for all of these!. there are many reasons but those are the main ones!. american comic books generally didnt have long lasting tv series and anywhere from 36 to 100 books avaraging at about 300pgs per!. im not sure y he would daydream of a cartoon character but there are contests to draw the most beautiful anime females!. ranma 1/2 is a good series that can really pull a first time anime person in! if ure looking to start liking it start with ranma 1/2!.! ull never want to read an american comic book again!Www@Enter-QA@Com
I'd have to say it's like anything else; it's just what your taste in entertainment is!. Personally, I kinda look at football fans the way you look at your anime-fan friend: I just don't get it, it does absolutely nothing for me!.
On a positive side, what I like about anime are very simple--the distinctive graphic style and some very good stories!. All anime is not alike, there is some real trash out there, there is a lot that doesn't interest me personally, some that I like because it's a simple story well-told, and some because it is a very complex story, deeply philosophical and moving!.

I am a big fan, but daydreaming about an animated girl is not something I spend my time doing!. I am into it because it has very original storylines, the CGI animation looks incredible, and the action scenes are awesome!.
The "anime books" you are referring to are called manga!.
Manga differs from an American comic because unlike comics, which are in full color, manga is black and white (With a few exceptions) Manga also pays more attention to the story and isnt as action based!. Sure, you pretty much get fight or action scenes in all the action manga, but they arent just fighting for the sake of fighting throughout the book!. Manga books are also much thicker than American comics!. Your average manga is about 280 pages long, but I have seen some up to 500 pages, as opposed to about 32 pages for a comic!. Back to the fighting!.!.!.!.They dont just go up to each other and pretty much just go at it!. There is build up to the fights and they have a story behind them!. And I am not talking about "Hey!!! This guy was talking behind my back so I am gonna destroy him!!!" I am talking about one person killing someone close to the other person or some kind of evil thing like that!. Another thing is in comics there is pretty much just a list of villains and they all just chain together and the process is just repeated with each one coming back with a few tweaks!. In manga the bad guys come into play as the story goes on!.
If I have by any chance gotten you into anime with what I said!.!.!.!. I will recommend you some manga (I like reading the manga and then watching the anime, but most people just watch anime because they are too lazy to read the manga or just dont want to)

generally, i like anime for its humour!. its sense of humour is much more quirky and amusing than the typical american comic book, which tends to be very po-faced!. also, the art style is very stylised, and this adds to the otherworldliness of it and its characters!. also!.!.!.!.!.!.they tend to be more melodramatic, which i like in comics!. its more fantastical, rather than modern american comics which tend to focus on people and relationships and are very dark!. anime is just more fun!. that said, there is a comic that combines east and western styles, its called scott pilgrim, and its awesome!. it has a dash of manga style, western characterisation, a hint of indie music and a lot of videogame references!. its just awesome, so much more fun than any other comic out there!. check it outWww@Enter-QA@Com
I like anime because of the story lines and the animation!. The animation is top knotch!. They're also usually set in the future!. It's also a good way to understand the Japanese culture and mindset!. From many animes I've watched and enjoyed, the impact of the U!.S!. dropping the bomb on Japan has had a major influence!. It bleeds through in all the storylines!. My favs are Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, and Lupin the 3rd!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

American comic books are fun to read, but they are rather short and only have a comedic appeal to them!.
Manga (the book form of anime) aren't only humorous, but also can be very deep and emotional at times!.
Then again, it depends on what manga you read!.

In my opinion anime has better plots than most american shows -- it has more action too!. The drawings have more detail, too!. I just find it very interesting!. I guess its just someone's opinion!.

Hmm!.!.!.well, there's a lot to be said about this topic!.!.!. To start, I guess the appeal to anime and manga is the same as an appeal to a book, where you can daydream to your hearts content about how you wish the storyline would go a certain way or how you don't like so and so and adore someone else!. There are endless situations and characters that are all wonderfully made and oogle worthy art just comes along with it!. With the illustrations, the author can convey the feelings without having to describe them in endlessly long sentences!. There are just certain expressions that you can't put into words, and I'm often awed by the depth of them!. To add to that, a manga or anime can be light hearted and serious at the same time!. What I'm trying to say is that the characters usually seem like ordinary people, but there is a lot of depth and feelings that you would never be able to see if you didn't read the entire thing!. A normal book tends to be serious throughout the entire story, or comedic the entire time!.
As for the differences between that and an American comic book, the art is more detailed, which falls in with what I said earlier about their expressions!. I don't read American comic books, but they all seem to have similar plots, such as Garfield, something only made for laughs, or a superhero comic such as Spiderman, Batman, Superman, X-man, and so on!. Though I do admit that there are anime and manga like this such as Lucky Star and Azumanga Daioh, which are really enjoyable, but there not many like this!. also, American comics tend to be geared towards boys, but manga and anime have separate genres for boys, girls, women, men, and a wider variety of plot lines!. Those are the main points of anime and manga!.
