It has a cool option wherein you just choose the anime you've already watched and loved, then it shows you a list of similar anime, other titles that are similar in plot, story line, characters, animation, etc
Aside from that, it also has lots of information on thousands of anime!. Information like: Synopses, Reviews, year started, year ended, etc!.
Let's take Death Note for example!.

I would suggest either Trigun or The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya!. The downsides to these are that they're both very short (Trigun has 26 eps, Haruhi has only 14 so far) but you can watch them either dubbed in english or with the better, original voice actors in japanese with subtitles!. Haruhi has a new season due out soon too I believe!.
