i would have to say Inuyasha that has fantasy and some romance, more of a comedy type romance!. it's about a girl who gets pulled through a well and ends up in feudal japan!. where she meets a 1/2 demon, Inuyasha!. together they search for the pieces of the sacred jewel!. this would have to be one of my all time favorite animes!. 156eps and 4 movies and 1 OVA!.
fushigi yuugi - this is a wonderful anime!. it has fantasy and romance (kissing) and of course comedy!. the story is about to girls who get pulled into a magical land through a book!. I love this anime, it has everything a good anime should have!. about 52 eps!. + OVAs
ayashi no ceres - a romantic/sad anime!. it too has it's fair share of a fantasy element!. it's about a girl whose family is trying to kill her because of a curse that they believe in!. this anime has a lots of romance and it is also funny!. however it is a bit more serious and very mature!.
Blood+ - fantasy/horror - yes!. there is a little romance in this!. but mainly about a girl who has the ability to slay other vampires using her blood!. And it seems like everyone likes the main character! also it too is a little bit more serious!. it's about 50 eps long
Peach Girl – basically about high school drama and romance!. Momo, the new girl at school, is having trouble fitting in!. A star on the swim team, she's seen by most as an airheaded beach bunny!. Her so-called friend Sae is spreading rumors and trying to steal Momo's boyfriend!. And then there's Kiley, the playboy Momo saved from drowning, who won't give up his infatuation!.I personally didn’t like it, but others have!. So maybe you will!.
Rurouni Kenshin – fantasy/horror - not much romance, less than Inuyasha!. Good plot line though!. The story mainly focus’s on Kenshin and Kaoru!. Kenshin a former manslayer and Kaoru a sword instructor!. The show is amusing to watch, and since I havent’ finished watching it, I can’t tell you if there is any real romance!.
My hime/ mai hime – fantasy – Teenager Mai once dreamed of an ordinary high school life -- that is, before she won a scholarship to the prestigious Fuuka Academy!. But it turns out that Mai is a HiME, one of 12 girls with supernatural powers gathered at the academy to fight the demons that dwell in and around the school!.
Pretear – Himeno can't stand being on her affluent stepmother's estate, where her two wretched stepsisters ignore her and only a few others make an effort talk to her!. Despondent and certain that things will never improve, Himeno is about to learn that she's fated to become the Pretear -- a girl who must join forces with a knight in order to save the land from the Princess of Disaster, who is unleashing evil larvae!.
Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne – the main character is the reincarnation of Joan of Arc, and her job is to get rid of all the evil demons in pieces of art!. so therefore she is known as a thief!. yes romance
mermaid forest - done by the same person who did inuyasha!. The two main characters are immortal (by eating mermaid flesh), the plot is about how they travel together and basically run into others who either are immortal or want to be!. Had the anime been longer there would have been a lot more romance!. but the show kind of developes a little bit of romance, not much though
Sailor Moon - must i explain it!? because like everyone has seen it!.
angel sanctuary - only 3 eps!. is an odd anime, but yes there is romance

How about Ranma 1/2 it is about a boy (Ranma)who is engaged to marry a girl Akane and take over her fathers martial arts school!. The only problem is that when he gets splashed with cold water he turns into a gorgeous redhead that all the guys want!. also he resents this whole arranged idea!. However he finds himself falling for her if he could stop being so arrogant!. Throw in lecherous old ninja, Guy who is in love with Akane but can't tell her and turns into a pig!. Kimi ga Nozomu Eien (also known as Rumbling Hearts) i absolutely loved it!. Although its only like 14 episodes it really plays with you, giving you unexpected occurances!.
