a short anime that dealt with pirates that were like mutants of some kind, I think that it began with large cities being flooded by a giant tidal wave, and there was some terrorist faction hiding out in the artic (which was now a tropical region in the anime)!. I wish I could give more info, there was shooting and fighting and really big pirate-type ships, and weird creatures, but it wasnt Onepiece!. The animation was also pretty good!. which, for a toonami-aired anime at the time, was actually shown fairly uncut from what I remember!.
While i dislike seeing anime get cut for a younger audience, you have to give cartoon network credit for getting an audience for it!. If they didn't cut it, it would never make it to air on a network watched by more people than any other on cable with the possible exception of Nickelodeon!.
This gets the anime out to the largest-possible audience, which, in turn, trickles down to those who want to see more uncut anime released to DVD because it puts more money in the pockets of the companies that do so!.

Check wiki for a listing of what toonami has aired, could be there!. also, be warned that toonami sucks, they tend to ruin alot of anime by making it child friendlier!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
