Variations of your Goofy question are asked her more often than you can imagine, but no matter how many times people are told that Goofy started his career as "Dippy Dawg" someone will stilll as what sort of animal Goofy is just a day or so later!. I think the inclusion of a short discussion of Goofy in the movie "Stand by Me," sparks many of the questions even if some people don't know the source of the question!.
Do you have problems with Mickey being a mouse or with Donald being a duck!? Neither or those popular characters are particularly representative of their species, but that doesn't seem problematic!. Perhaps the problem lies in the fact that almost everyone is around dogs often enough to know what they are like, but not everyone sees mice or ducks on a daily basis!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
