First Mickey cartoon ever made was Plane Crazy, Steamboat Willie was the first publicly released Mickey Cartoon!.
First cartoon as in first animated cartoon!? That was done by a French man, I can't remember the name, something similar to Phantasmagoria or something of the like!. Might just be the French spelling of it, I'll check and put it in here in a few!.
EDIT:: Yeah, it was done by émile Cohl and is titled, "Fantasmagorie!."
