They just hugged and all and Tamaki did not even verbally say his feelings for haruhi whether it's love (which we all know) or fatherly love (tamaki's stupidity in effect)
well we cant really blame tamaki for being uhm!.!.!. undecisive no uhm!.!.!. stupid!.!. (it's cute anyway) well since he was small he wanted to have this family setting where everyone has their own roles!.
IN the host club, he was able to feel that sense of famliy closeness but because of his innate ability to not comprehend his own feelings, he sensed the love for a girl as love for a daughter (What THE!!?! well tis cute still)
