Both "Beano" and "The Dandy" were still being published as of last Christmas when I considered getting my Granddaughter a subscription, but decided to wait until she was ready to learn to read in another year or so!. I was possibly the only child in Wyoming to have a subscription to Beano in the mid-Fifties (courtesy of my Irish Grandmother) and I'd like my Grandaughter to also have the chance to be in touch with what is seen over here as an exotic publication!.
