- Heart attack!. Simple as that!. Watari died before him, they speak to each other through computer!. Before the heart attacks takes effect on Watari, he erased all the data about the case from the computer!. After L realized about what happen, he was too late!. He later received a heart attack and his last sight was Light, smiling towards him, and he realized, that his suspicious about Light being a Kira was right from the beginning!.

- Yes!. Because he/she used Death Note to save some one's life (Misa)!. There's a rule in Shinigami world that a Shinigami can't get affected by their emotion while doing their job!. Rem 'fell in love' with Misa and saves her life by broken the rules!. Same things happen to previous Shinigami (Jealous) who died for the same reason - saving Misa's life!.

- Near appeared on episode 26 on the anime and chapter 59 on the manga if I'm not mistaken!. L died on episode 25 if I'm not mistaken!.

- No, the series ended with 37 episode in total and 108 chapters!. However, there's one shot chapter of Death Note (which mainly about Near and how the world becomes after Kira died),
one novel (Death Note: Another Note The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases)
and 3 live action movie!. Death Note, Death Note : The Last Name, and L : Change The World!.

- Yeah, you should watch the movie!. They change some part on the movie!. And most importantly, you'll get the alternate/different ending for the movie!.
- I personally like the original Death Note series!. You get more in depth storyline in the original series (especially manga) because that was what the author intend to do!. The movie tend to cut it short and left a plot hole or a canon on it!. I also get annoyed how the change Takada character!. I was hoping to see Yotsuba Kira instead of Takada!.
- I also dislike how they introduced Near on L: Change The World movie!. Mainly because it's clearly a canon/filler because L supposed to be died and he never actually met Near in the original series!.

- L died AFTER Light on the movie!. L wrote his own name on the Death Note!. Unlike the manga and anime, in the second film, his original "death", caused by Rem writing his name in her Death Note, does not take effect, as L had written his own name in Misa's Death Note earlier!. It is his self-sacrifice that allows himself stay alive for a longer duration (as he supposed Kira would kill him on that day), and allows the investigation team to apprehend Light!. After Ryuk kills Light, Ryuk offers L the Death Note!. L refuses, and Ryuk, while saying that L is boring, leaves!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

L died because Misa was about to be killed by Watari and L (on the elevator), so before he could do it, a shinigami (who is Rem) sacrificed herself for Misa because she likes Misa, so L died!.!.!.sad!.!.!.!.T!.T

DEATH NOTE SERIES hands down but the movie didnt suck either!. Their L did a really awesome job in acting!. ^^
