At the end of the first book Bella is badly injured!.While she is recovering, Alice helps her bathe, because she can't do it by herself!. If Alice hadn't been there, Charlie would have had to have helped her, which would have been uncomfortable for him!. Charlie is grateful that Alice was there, because she was able to help Bella!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
