I know that this movie at least made it to planning stages because I remembered from NICKELODEON magazine a while back where they ran a contest that the winner would get a walk-on role on "The Mask 2"!.
Obviously the movie was never made; however a crappy sequel "Son of the Mask" was made in 2005!.
