Get the new RISING STARS COMPLETE HARDCOVER TRADE!. Right now there are 3 trades that encompass the whole story, but this new hardcover graphic novel has all standard 21 issues (3 x 7), plus bonus issues #0A & #0B, plus bonus sketches and additional info!. Kinda like a DVD with lots of extras!.

Rising Stars is about a group of approximately 100 American children who where en utero during the passing, and evaporating of a huge energy comet!. Each child begins to display powers, and are quickly rounded up by the government to be tested and tracked!. Like a magnet school for super kids!.

the three story arcs show them as kids, then as heroes and villains as adults, then finally as leaders of the world, with the world's human military not to happy with these non-humans making the world so peaceful and good!.

the series is better than HEROES in the way it blends history with sci-fi ( the kids grow up through the 60s 70s 80s and 90s, seeing big events through the eyes of the gifted, the series really makes you think and ponder how good the world could be if super heroes didn't fight, but just helped, AND would we, the normals, want that super helping hand!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

1!. The Ballad of Halo Jones - There are 3 books in this series which revolve around a 50th century everywoman named halo jones!. The 3 books chronicle more than 10 years of her life!. Book 1 takes place in the course of 1 day in the life of 18 year old halo jones and her violent and semi comical misadventures on a shopping trip!. Books 2 involves halo as a stewardess on a year long voyage in space!. Book 3 (set 10 years later) has halo becoming a soldier in an interstellar war!. This is written by alan moore (who also wrote watchmen, v for vendetta, and from hell) so you may enjoy it!.

2!. The Sandman - Focuses on Dream of the Endless (the other endless being: Destiny, Death, Destruction, Despair, Desire and Delirium) who is the lord of the dream realm!. One of the best graphic novels I've ever read!.

3!. Transmetropolitan - Spider Jerusalem is an infamous gonzo journalist!. Spider Jerusalem dedicates himself to fighting the corruption and abuse of power of two successive United States presidents; he and his "filthy" assistants strive to keep their world from turning more dystopian than it already is while dealing with the struggles of fame and power, brought about due to the popularity of Spider via his articles!. Great post cyberpunk comic

4!. Hellblazer - The main character John Constantine is a streetwise magician!. This is a difficult comic to just sum up in a few sentences but there are demons, hevan, hell, magic and John Constantine involved, you don't want to skip over this one!. This is a continuing series wich started in the late 80's so there's lot's of stuff to keep you entertained!.

5!. Ghost World - A more realistic series than the above mentioned, it features two friends, Enid and Rebecca, wandering more or less aimlessly through their small town criticizing pop culture and basically everything else!. You see how their friendship is being stressed and how they eventually grow apart, this is an amazing comic!. Even if you don't think this is your kind of thing pick it up anyway and give it a try, you won't regret it!.
