Answers:
He says this all the time in the first 100 episodes or so!. They 'translated' it to "Believe it!" in the English dub!.

Dattebayo has no real meaning!. It's fairly common practice among younger school children in Japan to tack on some sound at the end of a lot of their sentances to 'personalize' their speech, with each person using a different sound than their friends!. "Dat", "te", "ba", and "yo" are four fairly common ones!.

Naruto just combines all four of them into one, emphasizing his personality as the Hyperactive Knucklehead Ninja!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Ahh I don't watch naruto but this is the thing that pisses me off most! Dattebayo does not mean "Believe it!"

In the Japanese versions, Naruto often ends his sentences with "dattebayo" or "(verb)-ttebayo", and as such Naruto has a unique style of speech!. In the Japanese language, an ending can be added with no meaning to make the tone sound more tough, childish, girlish, or many other changes depending on the many existing endings!. "-ttebayo", which is not a well-known ending, has no literal meaning and cannot be translated, but carries the connotations of the speaker being uncultured, brusque, and seeming tougher than they really are!.In the English anime and video games, he often says "Believe it!" to fit with the mouth flaps of "-ttebayo"!. And that makes little weeabos think that Dattebayo means "Believe it!" and they run around the internet saying it and it just pissed me off lol!.

So there you go, hope that helped!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

The closest English translation of "Dattebayo" is the English "Duh" (sometime spelled "D'oh"), which signifies that whoever uses the sound is of less than average intelligence!. "Dattebayo" is the Japanese equivalent of "the idiot sound," a vocalization signifying stupidity!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well I heard that it is a slang word or something!. Some I heard said people use made up word at the end of every setence to look cute!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
