Kishimoto was basically inspired by Akira Toriyama's manga/anime Dragon Ball and main character Goku!. That's why you see some parallels between Naruto and Dragon Ball at times throughout the anime!.

Yes look at Goku then look at naruto some differences some similarities and they both where orange!.

Now look at Vegeta and sasuke both have similar attitudes towards the main character and they both where the same dark blue!.
