Answers:
Are you saying "What language would be best for you to learn if you're going to go to Japan!?"

Well Japanese of course!. :]

[edit]

I disagree with what that other answerer {gada!?} said!. English is VERY hard!. Though native speakers wouldn't know that!. And nouns that are identified by sex doesn't make a language hard; it just shows unnecessary things!.

English is hard because everything about it - from the sentence structures, to the way a sentence is said - is harder than said to be!. :]Www@Enter-QA@Com

Hahaha english is hard PUUUUUHHHHHHHLEEEEEZEEEEEEE!!! It's one of the most gramaticcaly simplest languages in the planet!. Has few tenses, doesn't have "sexes" (some of the only sex tagged words in english would be policeman or policewoman or actor or actress)!.

Of the only hard aspects of english is actually being able to pronounce it properly without sounding like a foreigner!.

Spanish on the other side has more than 30 different verb tenses that are reliant on which pronoun is used, inconsistant grammar rules, confusing use of accents, uses a lot more symbols than english (?,?,ü,ü, all of the accents, Ch, ch,?,?, etc!.!.), different spanish dialects adopt indian words whereas english all over the world is at least intelligible if local accents aren't too incoherent (at least typed english all over the world remains a constant, spanish on the other hand!.!.!. I have a hard time understaiding written Spain spanish for one)!.

English doesn't use sexed "El" or "LA" to refer to direct objects like spanish does!.

People seem to bash the complexities of english without ever noticing how simple the language really is!. Learn a couple special plural word exceptions (like deer, fish or knives), learn how to use apostrophes and learn how to use HAVE right, you're set to go!.

Now, want to know what a really hard language is!? How about classic Mayan using the original Mayan language system!. So hard, the language is still not really translatable even to this day!. Probably the 3rd most difficult language that is known to exist!.

Basque is another difficult language because there's no other language in the planet that has shared words with it (at least spanish is similar to catalan, valencian, portuguese and most other romance languages you can think of to lesser degrees)!.

As for which language to use in japan, use Japanese!. Most Japanese have sucky english at best and at best can only understand it when you speak the language to them, they are incapable of actively expressing themselves with it (plus, you won't find english speakers period in rural Japan)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

English is one of the hardest languages to learn but a lot more people speak English Japanese!.

In a real life you need to know English more then you need to know Japanese since not a lot of people speak Japanese!.

So if you wanna be able to communicate more people go with English if you wanna be able to understand Japanese so you can watch Animes and thats all then go with Japanese!.!.

There is always the option of both you English isn't really that bad!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

Cool!. I am going to japan too!. I am right now learning japanese!. I am not reading the japanses books I am listening to the audio and going to sleep listening to them while I sleep and I am getting good at it!. Oyasuminasai!. Sayanora!. Goodbye!. Just go to the library and rent some audio cds and listen to it non stop and let it sink into your head!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Saludos, LeilisWww@Enter-QA@Com

It would be ideal to learn japanese!.
However, if you are visiting a city, to my knowledge they are required to take x amt!. of years of english in school!.!.!.but I would rather learn japanese, because that doesn't gaurentee you that alot of people will understand you!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

NANI!!!
NANDA TO KORE BA!!!!!!

Por lo que entendi, creo!?, es que como dice "RYUK" de death note-" el ingle es el idioma universal"-

Asi que despreocupate (shimpai surunda) o como dice KIKUMARU-sempai-"RELAX!, RELAX!-

En fin en cualquier lugar al que viajes siempre te van a hablar en ingles!.

With few exceptions, you can go anywhere in the world and find someone who speaks English!.

Take immersion training in the local language!.

English has more words than any other language, the hardest to learn is Welsh!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

I say go with the language that's easier for you to learn!. Since you happen to be more inclined toward the native language of Japan, that's a bonus and the obvious one to choose, in my opinion!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Japanese definetely!.!.
