I actually found a website that said Rumiko wanted to making new episodes, but also use fillers because the Anime would be so behind after the manga was over!. So what's the deal!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

September 2009 is the tentative date!.!.!.but it is not yet set in stone!. It will take a lot of preparation, so this may even be pushed back a little!.!.!.possibly until after the 5th movie is made!.
But still, InuYasha season 8 is projected to start in September 2009!.

There aren't going to be any new episodes it stopped at 167!. There is a 30 minute OVA that was released in Japan on July 30th!. There could be more OVA's coming too!. Hopefully the OVA will be subbed and online for us to view at some point!.
