Time and place for a comic book?!

Question: Time and place for a comic book!?
I'm putting together a short comic but I'm really stuck on where to set it!. I'd like it to be timeless, so you can't pin point exactly what date it is - if I were to do this, would it be best if I created a whole different world kind of!? There's gonna be supernatural stuff in it too, just not too sure about the setting!. Any ideas!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

If you really want it to be timeless then just be anachronistic!. Draw characters who look real to you!. Use whatever technology makes sense in the storyline, whether it's consistent or not!. In other words, take your sketchbook out, draw real things as well as ideas for images, and just throw them in wherever they make sense to you if you don't think too hard!. Phillip Pullman has written a lot of good anachronistic stories and in the old days of Space Opera and Science Fiction, Edgar Rice Burroughs's and later Leigh Brackett's Mars stories used a lot of anachronisms (airships, rayguns, space ships in Brackett's stories, and LOTS of swords)!. How 'bout an old lady casting spells from the passenger seat of an '88 Cadillac!? What will really make it timeless is why she is casting the spells, not where she is sitting or standing!.

Its your comic so you should already have a pretty good idea of your characters and what place they should be in!. Even though you can make something timeless by not dating it you always are going to be stuck in one "time" or another say like the Sweeny Todd movie is not dated by a time, but it is in old England!. Your characters should already have a pretty good base of where they should be from focus on them and the plot and the time (or time lessness of it) will fall into place!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Another World!?I guess that works!.Or you can make it in like the US!.If it's gonna have supernatural stuff then make it like in a spooky place!.If it's in another world you can customize it all you want!.But the chioce is yours!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well if you want it to be timeless then you could consider setting it in any time period if you said that it was an alternate history!. Wikipedia has a pretty good article on what an alternate history is if you don't know!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
