There's several theory why the manga/anime Bleach is called Bleach!.
One of the most famous theory is because of the color of Ichigo's hair that looks like he was bleaching them!. People said if you bleached your hair, your hair would turned into orange color
Other theory is Shinigami/Soul Reaper jobs is to purify/cleansed/bleached the souls of the hollows and spirts!.
This also contribute to the fact that Kaien's soul was bleached by Rukia's zanpaktou back then and later end up to be reborn as Ichigo!.
Some people also said that Tite Kubo is a huge Nirvana fan!.!.!.he once claimed on interview that Bleach (Nirvana album) is one of his favorite album of all time!.

yea, i've wondered about that alot!. i think it's because of his hair!. Kurosaki Ichigo stands out from the rest of the crowd because his hair is orange and looks bleached!. i started Bleach by reading the manga and i don't know about the anime, but there's some emphasis on his hair color at the beginning of the series!. this fades away over time and soon becomes irrevelant to the story!. but as a child, he always got into fights because of the way his hair stood out!. anyways, that's what i think!. i still don't know what importance it has to the story!. i hope we find out soon!. Because Ichigo's hair is orange, he was bullied a lot in school!. In Japan, bleaching your hair is considered to be an act of "rebellion," and you're invariably looked at as a troublemaker or a punk!. Ichigo's hair color is natural, but the kids didn't care!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
