Question: WHy does superman always save the day!? Is DC just really that desperate!?
Everything in the dc universe revolves around superman,superboy-prime and I just really dont get it!.!.!.I mean he always saves the day!.!.I mean at least in marverl , spiderman,hulk,thor,toolverine,cap-a ,fantastic four save the day!.!.!.!.I mean!.!.come on!!! Is it because DC is owned by the time warner that the editors really dont care!?!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Because he is the most ridiculously overpowered superhero ever!. Aside from a vulnerability to a super-rare rock and a mild dependancy on the sunlight of a star like the one that the planet he is normally on has, the closest thing to a weakness he has is that he's not resistant/immune to magic!.
In contrast, his powers are invulnerability, super speed, super strength, flight, cold super breath, heat vision, x-ray vision, super hearing, and probably several others I'm forgetting!.
Marvel tends to give their superheroes one or two mild powers with maybe one extremely small weakness!. This makes them more like normal people, in that they have specialties they are good at, but they can't do everything!. DC tends to make their superheroes gods with one obscure weakness, so they can do anything they need to!. Superman just takes the DC style to a whole next level!.

He doesn't always save the day!.!.!.see JLA:Overpower trade and recent issues of Superman (Action Comics) to see examples of time where even Superman wasn't fast enough!. There were also older stories like the time he killed Zod, non, and Ursa instead of letting them free to kill again!. Stories like these ground the character even more!. There have been various instances where Superman has "failed"!. Look to the now classic "Kingdom Come" for multiple failures by Superman and how through perseverance and his "humanity" he and others he inspires by his example can come out of the worst tragedies looking to a brighter future!. I think especially in these troubled times, someone like Superman still stands for something good in our society!. Not perfect, but good!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Because DC doesnt have nearly the character depth as Marvel!. That's what happens when you give your characters practically unlimited power without really developing who the characters ARE!. The best characters are not the "demi-gods" that see things in black and white, but ones with a limited ability or power who sees things in different shades of grey- and who are a shade of grey themselves!. DC characters primarily are very one-dimensional while marvel characters are very complex- more like real people!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

He has failed many times over the years!.
