It has been released on DVD!. It was never referred to as "Batman: Gotham Knights" during the show or on any merchandise which is probably why you couldn't find it!. The more well known title is "The New Batman Adventures" and the entire series was released on DVD as "Batman: The Animated Series Volume 4"!.
