I'm reading a japanese issue of shonen jump, it's an older one, and it seems like Itachi dies at the end, but of course the chapter finishes and it's to be continued!. And I don't have the next issue!. I know he hasn't died in the english manga or the english show because I haven't seenfan girlss crying all over the internet(Idon'tt watch the japanese episodes, so maybe he died there!?)!.

Yes Itachi died!.!.He died battling Sasuke!.!. Sasuke didnt intensionally kill him he died and gave(transplanted*with his fingure tips*) his sharingan and amareatsu within him !.!.Later sasuke makes a new sharingan!.!.!. And later after hearing how much itachi wanted to protect sasuke and for konoah's orders (hokage's orders) to destroy the Uchiha clan to free the world of war * Everyone thought that the Uchiha clan would use their eyes to Destroy the world and take control* Itachi felt upset and left Sasuke secretly and joined the akatsuki *he didnt want to get into trouble by the hokage for not exterminating everyone in the Uchiha Clan*!.!.
