i think its more of a brother sister thing bc they spent soo much time together that he feels the need to beat everyone up tht picks on her!.!.besides himself!. It was sooo obvious in the early episodes he missed her when she left the Soul Society and he was soo jelous of Ichigo because he got Rukia's powers and it got her in trouble!. Renji's always wanted Rukia!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
