well, pain is a rinnegan holder!.!.!.!.as far as i know, sharingan developed from byakugan which in turn developed from rinnegan!.!.!.itachi would get pwnd against pain!.!.!.but then again, itachi is my favorite character!.!.!.!.he has superior thinking (and as we now know an amazing farsight)!.!.!.
so, i go for a draw!.!.!.itachi would be able to kill all the pains realms (but would die fighting the real one!.!.!.)

but then again, itachi had to run away while fighting jiraiya!.!.!.!.who pain easily defeated!.!.!.!.(i am not ignoring the fact that itachi didn't use the huge shield and amaterasu but still!.!.!.he must have thought of something before running away like "omg if i continue fighting him, there's no way i can survive" and he even said to kisame "if we fight, we would both get killed")!.!.!.so, i go for pain!.!.!.!.

yes, that may be true narutorendan!.!.!.but you are forgetting something too!.!.!.when itachi said that he wasn't talking to any of the konoha ninjas!.!.!.he was talking to kisame and i don't see any reason why he should lie to him!.!.!.and about that pain's secret!.!.!.the official book says "only zetsu and konan know about it"!.!.!.and about that fight!.!.!.maybe jiraiya didn't know, but itachi had to fight for self defense and he was pretty lame!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

remember, itachi was a spy for the leaf village!. he wasn't there (leaf village) to really capture naruto!. he was there to warn them about madara!. very few people knew he was a spy, jiraiya wasn't one of them!.Itachi had no intention of killing anybody from Konoha!. he could have killed kakashi,kurenai and asuma if he had wanted to!.
i think itachi knew pein's secret!. and once you know it its easy to defeat him!. jiraiya found out about pein's secret when it was too late already!.

I believe that pain is!. I mean come onnn itachi let himself die by sasuke,youve got to be kidding me!. I guess that itachi might be able to take him for some time!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
