When did anime started in the philippines?!

I think it started in the 70's with Gigantor or in the original Japanese" Tetsujin 23" but it got a boost during the Marcos era when Voltes V and all the super robots came out, actually the first to show on channel 7 was Mazinger Z Wednesday at 5:30pm but the first to advertise it on the newspaper was Voltes V!. After it was banned by Marcos (allegedly because it was too violent but in truth the story of Voltes V is about people rising up against an oppressive regime and Marcos doesn't want Filipino children to grow up with such ideas!. Well history tells us otherwise!.) Ok just a little historical fact there!. After all those super robots or mechs came Candy Candy, Paul in Fantasyland, Heidi no more robots but there were still animes, then during the late 80's came Macross which was translated in the US as Robotech which I think started the anime boom in the US, most animes during that time were still underground or alternative and hasn't gone mainstream yet!.Then DBZ was shown in the Phils!.in the early 90's and others came along as well as Yu Yu Hakusho or most commonly known as "Ghostfighter", Zenki, Magic Knight Rayearth, Ranma 1/2,Flame of Recca right up to Bleach and Naruto!. Now animes have become so mainsteam that there are already anime conventions and cosplays like the recent Hero event!.Please correct me if I made mistakes in the info because this is how I know how anime started in the Phils!. coz' I was there when it all began!.
