Finally somebody asks this question!. Ok hope you're ready for a long one!. SASUKE UCHIHA IS A HERO! He is nothing like his brother!. Sasuke left the village in an attempt to gain the power necessary to dispose of his brother, a potential threat to the entire world!. Now i know that he almost killed Naruto several times, but that's just it he ALMOST killed Naruto!. He never killed Naruto!. In the fight on the waterfall, Naruto was unconcious at Sasuke's feet after losing the jutsu clash!. He could have done away with him then and there but he himself said,"no you're wrong!. I'll find my own path, my own power!." In reference to Orochimaru and Itachi!. Itachi acquired his power by killing his best friend and Sasuke chose not to do that!. Kimimaro(orochimaru's most powerful slave) acquired his power through COMPLETE devotion to Orochimaru!. In Sasuke's view, Orochimaru is nothing more than a heartless snake(excuse the pun) that got his kicks through selfishly sacrificing those that hold him in high regards(just as Itachi had done) and if he can use HIM to get power then do away with him, he'd have killed three birds with one stone!. Gaining power, ultimately killing his brother, and then killing Orochimaru which would also get rid of the world's most feared and powerful bad guy! Sasuke is a VILLAIN!.
He DID NOT go after Itachi because he was a threat to the entire world, he went after him for his own selfish, childish reasons!. Itachi killed the Uchiha clan on orders from the village council, and once he told Sasuke this, Sasuke immediately turned his childish rage on the village!.
Sasuke would have killed his best friend to get the Mangekyou Sharingan, but he didn't because he wanted to gain power by his own methods!. There might have been some sentimental part of Sasuke that didn't want to kill Naruto, but I doubt it!.
If he is a hero, it is by accident!. I think he just happens to have the same enemies as Konoha, since he took out Orochimaru and a member of the Akatsuki!.
The fact that he plans to attack the village is just another example of his childish behavior!. He intends to punish AN ENTIRE VILLAGE OF INNOCENT PEOPLE for something that was the fault of like 3 people!.!.!.!. All for a brother whom he HATED and WANTED TO KILL just a few minutes before!.
Personally, I think Itachi is weak for not being able to deny orders from the council, and I think he handled his protection of Sasuke in a really poor manner, but he's still a million times better than Sasuke!.

While he has a reason to want power (to avenge his family's deaths), he turned traitor to do so in a time of war, went to the one attacking his village and nearly killed his friend several times!.
I think they meant for him to be a tragic figure, but going by his actions he's doing similar to what Itachi did, only for his own purposes!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

sasuke i a hero, because in the shippuden stage or wat ever it's called he kills itachi and he it trying to find power from orochimaru and other stuff, well i havent seen Naruto shippuden yet!Www@Enter-QA@Com
hes a hero becaus e he's just looking for power from orochimaru in shippuden you should notice that he comes back in 1 of the episodes and talks to naruto so once he gets his power he will come back to konoha Www@Enter-QA@Com
