Question: Yaoi problem!.!.!. !?
Ahaha, so all my friends know I like Anime and shonen-ai and don't care/ like it too x3!. Heck, my background on my phone is Shonen-ai themed!. Then in my 5th period class, I have one friend and 2 not-so-much friends!. -!.- Me and my close friend were discussing anime/4chan/awesome shows/funny stuff/Japan when one of the other people randomly says, "And in Yaoi, Rape equals love!." And I laugh (since it kinda does xD)!. From this he realizes that I actually know what it is, and in some ways watch it!. Friend # 3 askes "What's Yow-E!?" Then some random 4th guy (who could best be classified as a real life noob) appears and begins to tell EVERYONE!. >:O

Now 2/3 of my 5th period class think I watch Gay Porn because he explained it terribly!. Including my teacher!. Dx (She kinda just looked at me!.!.!.) I tried to explain, "No, no! I only watch the stuff that's allowed on Youtube!" Yet a small group of people looking D8 have gathered around me!. Now they think I only watch Gay-anime-porn!.

Well people are stupid when it comes to yaoi and think stupid things thinking it's "gay porn" when it's not!. Here's how I explain it, it's a Guy's or Boy's love romance manga with sometimes some mature parts!. If it were girlXguy no one would think anything about it if there were some mature parts in it right!? People are just closed minded because it's has to do with gay's which is very wrong in my opinion!. I love yaoi and shounen-ai and I'm proud of it!! :) I love romance mangas and yaoi/shounen-ai are romance manga, having hot guys as the characters is just a plus!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

I really don't care what others think, but a classroom full of people that are looking at you like you're some kind of alien has gone over the edge!. I mean that literally!.
That dude who you explained is a noob should have just mind his own business!. He has no right to explain that you watch yaoi to people!. I know what kind of noobish stuff he'd say!. "Oh, this girl over here is watching cartoon gay porn!." or "she's a freak who likes cartoon gay porn!."
I think you'll have to just grin and bare it for awhile!. At least you have a few friends who know what yaoi is, and such!. There's no other advice!. I would say that you should just have to be proud of the fact that you're an anime fan and that you love yaoi!.
I had a friend back in my sophmore year!. My friend gave me "How to draw couples"!. I look through it, and it had about any kind of formation in it!. My friend #2 wanted to see it, and I gave it to her!. Some girl, noobish yet scary, saw from over her shoulder, and she asked #2 what is it!. Friend #2 just told her what it was!. Noobie thought it was learning sex positions!. XD I LMAO!. It was so funny!. A few other people laughed!.

Well, I've liked yaoi for a long time now!. And I just recently told the first person that's not on an online site!. I told my mother that I liked Yaoi, Shounen-ai, Slash and stuff!. She didn't care, and it didn't bother her!. She's the only one I've told so far, just so I won't be in your kind of situation!. xD
But if I was in your kind of situation, I would go along with it!. And maybe try explaining to some people, well, a better explination of what yaoi is!. I dunno!. Maybe something along those lines!.

1st off,it's pronounced as YAH-OH-EE,not YOW-EE!.And,in Japan,they have stopped using the term yaoi so much,and mostly just call it Boys' Love or BL now!.
2nd,I have a big habit of pairing up anime chara's to form y-couples [yuri/yaoi]!.I prefer yuri over yaoi myself!.But,I do like both,and I'm not ashamed to admit it!.
I also have some friends that think of y-animes as gay/lez porn animated,but I don't really care!.Let them think of me and my choices of anime/manga what they wish!.I am not going to force them to like it!.
My fiance' is very vocally against yaoi,and so I often pair up his fave male charas together to tizz him off!.He usually catches on to that,and we end up laughing about it together!.
