According to Madara, Itachi's assasination of the Uchiha clan was done under orders from the Hokage, who feared the Uchiha were becoming too powerful to control, and then hid their own involvement in the plot leaving Itachi out to dry!. So essentially, the Leaf Village ordered Sasuke's brother to be the fall guy for a plan to kill all his relatives, even though they hadn't done anything against the village, and Sasuke is out for vengeance!.
It's entirely possible Madara was lying, as he didn't even try to provide proof!. But Sasuke believed him whole-heartedly!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
