heard recently that green day have split up, i really hope this is false, as they are set to release another album next year!! have they???

While it's pretty much impossible to prove a negative, a comprehensive news search, a check on wikipedia, and a look at greenday's official website all turn up no evidence of a split.

I'd say you can relax--they're still together.
