Inheritence Trilogy?!

Question:

Inheritence Trilogy?

i have a question...if Galbatorix is the king of Alagaesia then why does he rule something called the empire? shouldn't he be called the emperor?

Answers:

Perhaps he should be called emperor, and yet he isn't. Just one of many flaws in the work of an amateur.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the books and I do read them. It's just too hard not to be critical about a lot of things about them, like the fact that pretty much none of Paolini's ideas are original.
