Help with plastic on guitar?!

Help with plastic on guitar?

My American stratocaster has plastic on the pickguard, I tried to take it off but it is stuck under the pickups, volume knobs, screws,etc. Any way to get it out?

A majority of it is off, but it is under the knobs, making them hard to adjust.

They put that on the pickguard to prevent scratches when people play the guitar in the store. Probably the safest thing to do is remove the pick guard. Just a few screws. That should loosen it up.
