Has anyone been to a show at an ampitheater, specifically the Shoreline ampithea!

Has anyone been to a show at an ampitheater, specifically the Shoreline ampitheater in Mountain View?
I'm going to Projekt revolution there. I've never been to a show at an ampitheater before and wasn't sure how it differs from a regular venue. If the show is during the day, are you in direct sun? Do people stay in their assigned seats? Do they sit or stand? Is there a floor/mosh pit area in front of the stage? Thanks for your help!

I LOVE Shoreline concerts.
If there's a 1st/second stage thing, then 2nd stage plays during the day and 1st stage plays at night. But if it's a daytime thing and you're going to the main stage at Shoreline, and you have grass seats, yeah you'll be in the sun and it's kinda hard to mosh there because it's so steep. You can usually get up and walk around... yes they SHOULD stay in the assigned seats but not everyone does.
