Hi my dear friends,what`s your idea about Iranian music?

I`m Iranian & I want to know your idea about Iranian music.

I don't know that I've ever heard Iranian music, but I used to work in a pizza shop that was owned by a Pakistani man. He would play movies from his homeland. They had a lot of music in them that sounded like sitar type music. I'm sure that if I knew the language, it would have been better for me, but it just sounded like a lot of warbling, high pitched chanting to me. But like I said, if I could have only understood the language it would have been better. I tried one time to have him translate it for me but he wouldn't. It had lovers running through a field of little yellow flowers, while singing. I think he might have been afraid that I would think less of him for watching a "chick flick", but I understand being homesick and wanting to see anything that will remind you of home.
Of course he would also talk loudly on the phone to his brother in their language. It was rapid fire words that I didn't understand and then he would quite clearly say my name and then laugh. It was incredibly irritating to know that I was being talked about, and have no idea what they were saying.
