Do you guys in America get Dr who and Torchwood on American TV?!

Question:

Do you guys in America get Dr who and Torchwood on American TV?

I didn't you got guys get BBC shows on US TV I always thought you got shows like Benny Hill and Absolutely Fabulous and that was it. I remember talking to an American on a train once and he said that you guys get shows like The Office and Monarc of the Glen (which I loved being Scottish lol). We get lots of US shows here like Everybody hates Chris and Everybody loves Raymond and so forth. What other UK shows do you get on US tv do you get the Blue Planet narrated by David Attenborough brother of Richard Attenborough. If you get any of David Attenborough shows they are wonderful so interesting to watch about the natural world.

no need to be nasty I live in the UK and I don't know much about US tv and I don't know what shows you get over there I always thought you only got a few shows that were years old like Benny Hill and Ab Fab and that was it. No need to be so rude.

Answers:

PBS, public television is mostly made of BBC shows, Keeping Up Appearances, Are You Being Served, Waiting for God (my fave), AbFab was on for a long time, replaced by French and Saunders (both gone in my area now) Attenborough's series was excellent, so is Around the World with Michael Palin, speaking of which Monty Python is still being shown late at night. I used to watch Young Ones (cult favorite), Mr. Bean, Black Adder (hilarious) and Blue Line (I think that's what it was, with Bean as a policeman) We may not get the most recent shows, but there are a host of them available. The only problem I have is understanding some of the accents thank goodness for closed captioning!
