Why is "Live Earth" being represented by stars who drive gas guzzling !

Why is "Live Earth" being represented by stars who drive gas guzzling super cars and giant suv's?
Most stars have lavish houses which use a lot of electricity and drive cars that are not eco friendly so why are they being used to promote global warming awareness? This is very hypocritical.
