Are people still getting sued for illegally downloading music?
I know for a while people were getting sued left and right, but is that still going on? Also, are you safe from getting sued if you turn off the sharing capabilities on Limewire so that you download music, but you don't share your music with others?

Yes and no. Yes people are still getting sued, but it's not the average user who downloads a couple radio hits every week. The people getting sued are the ones constantly uploading music to servers that distribute illegal copyright material throughout the globe. And if you turn off uploading on Limewire, technically you're safe because you're not distributing illegal downloads, but you are still downloading it.
