Answers:
A virus would have to be written specifically for the Wii. Most viruses written will target the Windows filesystem and could be bad if the Wii used the same filesystem -- but it doesn't, so if a virus should be looking for C:/**** it's not going to find anything like that on the Wii.
That said, I wouldn't put it past someone to create a virus for the Wii -- like the other person said, even Cell Phones can get a virus.
As far as if this is something to worry about? I doubt it. Figure the original Xbox (and even the PS2 w/ the hard drive) has been able to be "online" for the past 5 or so years and I am pretty sure no virii have been written to target any of these online systems.
