Does anyone remember the Crickets? I'm sure I used to have an album as a kid in!

Does anyone remember the Crickets? I'm sure I used to have an album as a kid in the early 70s?

There were songs and then a man's voice on the record as well. Others say I must be confusing this with the Chipmunks but I'm sure it was the Crickets - I remember the album cover, I think! Any info, where to buy, etc. would be great.

Sorry - I should have been more clear, but thanks for the good info on Buddy Holly! What I was referring to was a kids album - voices that sounded like crickets singing and then a man's voice that would say things like "All right boys, what's next?!" Silly collection of songs sung in a high-pitch to "sound" like crickets.

there was BUDDY HOLLY and the CRICKETS IN THE 50'' i think u mean the DAVE SEVILLE AND THE Chipmunks
