Am I the only one that feels this way about entertainment?

I had a long discusion with me friend tonight after watching transformers, heres what it boiled down to:

People talk all about paris hilton going to jail or brad pitt doing this and that with angelina joe...however you say her name or what british royalty thinks of american idol. Personally I dont think i should even know who paris hilton is, or brad pitt or any of that. I very seriously find it disturbing that people pry to find out wat some vip is up to it does not impact me or them or other people. I listen to music for the sound not the artist, I watch movies for the story,art and what i see not for the actors. Why do so many people find it wrong to feel this way?

True, but because some people due stupid stuff its nice to know whats going on. Like before the whole brad and Angelina thing, I didn't mind watching movies with brad, but Angelina has always been a wh0re so I've never watched movies with her. But now that I know he is a cheater, I won't watch movies with him. I boycott movies with stupid people in them.....that makes me feel good!!!
