i am a huge fan of simon and Garfunkel so dont get me wrong, i dont mean to be disrespectful but on the album bookends theylook like they are high on drugs. and i hear that Garfunkel got in trouble a few times from getting caught with drugs. so can you all tell me all you know about this? thanks!

Throughout history, some creative people have tried using drugs to inspire their writings and compositions.
Some were successful, and some were not. If S&G wrote and/or performed their music using drugs as an adjunct, then I'd say they were successful.
Well, except for "Cecilia" - man, they must've gotten a bad batch of _something_ when they wrote that! :-)
