How do you interpret this (guitar tabs)?

Just so you know, I don't know anything about Hinder or why the first guy doesn't like 'em. I just love this particular song...

the vertical lines are the strings the numbers are your fret, those are the little squares on your guitar.. so lets take the first line there,

X means muted, so you put your left palm over the frets so they dont sound

the 2 on the 'A' line stands for the second fret on that A string..

so visually what you play matches up what's written if you hold up your guitar facing you with the neck/top facing left
