I'm that good, so how do I get a record deal?

I have been writing songs and singing forever, playing guitar since 8, and performing since 7. I am now 15 years old, and I feel that it is time to take my music career up a notch. I want to know how I can get a recording contract.

Having recorded on two albums, let me tell you that first and foremost, you MUST network. It doesn't matter how good you are or how much you know, you have to get your name out.

Perform at local venues. Some buger joints and parks like to have live entertainment. It's a way to get your material out there and to let people hear you.

If possible, get an agent. Like them or not, they're probably the biggest asset to a performer's career.
