Do you equate those who like "Superheroes" as a sign of immaturity?!

Question:

Do you equate those who like "Superheroes" as a sign of immaturity?

Recently I saw a Conan O' Brian episode where he made fun of Star Wars (admittedly some were a bit strange to say the least) fans. The show was funny (if not a bit strange in and of itself)

And yet, for some strange reason I have yet to solved but spent most of my youth trying to rationalize, there seems to be a significant amount of people who make fun of those who celebrate "Mythologies", "Lengends," and "Storytelling" in our culture. You normally hear people calling them: "Nerds," "Lonely," "Losers, "Get a girl" etc. But isn't this a misconception? This type of redicule is something I don't understand! Could it be a sign of people being jealous and/or just aren't as passionate about anything in their own hobbies and lives? And using the same example as above: Do you equate those who love to talk about "superheroes" as a sign of immaturity? Please Explain! Thanks!

Answers:

Not necessarily. I believe it is the way some people relax and get away from reality. Imagination and creativity are a good way to do just that.
Most of the people I know that love superheroes are very intelligent and mature for the most part but they have a unique way of going about life. They know everything there is to know about the shows. To the point of finding discrepancies and errors in the shows compaired to the comics. I never really favored superhero movies myself but if you go with the right person they give you in-sites that you may not have noticed before and the experience changes drastically.
