Wierd Reggae Music Question?
Why do so many reggae songs talk about Babylon and Scion? I noticed that while I was on vaca in Hawaii, in almost every reggae song you could hear the words "Babylon or "Scion" at least once. What does Babylon and Scion have to do with reggae?

I'm from Jamaica - and Babylon means a Corrupt system which usually refers to government organisations or world leaders in corruption of sort....."Scion" or do you mean "Zion" which they refer to the promise land or heaven...... Reggae music usually originates from the"rastafari" religion thats why youhere these words in their song!!
