Why do we play the guitar with the left hand?!

Question:

Why do we play the guitar with the left hand?

If your right-handed.... why do the hardest part of the guitar with the left hand??

Answers:

Because most people are right-handed and the stronger hand is used to strum the strings. Same for the violin, lute and other stringed instruments. Originated early on when instruments were not as acoustically developed and could not produce a lot of sound. It might take quite a effort to get a room-filling sound and the right hand was just stronger.
Might originate as far back as the Greek Lyre, which was held in the left hand and strummed by the right.
