Are these emo bands?
i really dont what bands are emo... i know emo is not about cutting their hands, eyeliners, blacks.. or whatever POSERS!!... and f0b, p!tdsco, mcr, are absolutely not emo for me... so what bands? that can make me feel something, i dont know... emotional?

NO, Switchfoot is definately not emo! I have never heard of howie day so i dont know about them. But Switchfoot is definately not an emo band. Emo people are people that cut themselves and it stands for emotional. A emo band would sing about cutting themselves, pain, suffering and different kinds of problems that people go through. They would sing about pain that they go through and Switchfoot doesnt sing about that.
Um... there is this one band that has a CD called "As I Lay Dying" they are an emo band.
