if anyone knows much about violins i would really appreciate it if you could look at this link and tell me what you think of it's quality, and suitability for a complete beginner?

Are you in the UK? Because if you'll notice, the costs are in pounds, not US dollars. Personally, I don't like the look of it. I think you could do a lot better. I've never heard of that model violin, and I'm pretty familiar with all of them. You might try:

Regarding sizes, most adults play a 4/4 -- which is the full size. The fractional sizes are for children. Some adult women do play a 5/8, but that's in exceptional cases. To see instrument sizes, in case you are a child, see:
