Chet Baker what are your thoughts about the man and his music?

I think his music is great, though I don't know much about the man himself. I have read however the reason that he wrote and recorded at such a fast and prolific rate is that he needed money to feed his heroin addiction, an addiction that stayed with him until he died. Regardless, I still love the tender fragility of his voice and enjoyable, light compositions.
